Social Farming Play-to-Earn Concept

1 Introduction
With the recent adoption and awareness of NFTs and their emerged sub-cultures Quirky Plants As-
sociation took the liberty of designing a Play-to-Earn game model that allows users to unite, and
interact with various sub-communities for increased farming rate and accumulation of in-game utility
tokens. We believe all Crypto, NFT, Metaverse and Social Finance should be inclusive and working
together rather than competing for attention and capital. Social Farming mechanic aims to be best
yet designed ecosystem for sustainable growth and farming.

2 Game Design
2.1 Plantiverse
Plantiverse is the name of the game itself. The visuals of the game will utilize the Genesis NFTs
launched by Quirky Plants Association in Q4 2021 and their derivatives. The underlying game and
user interface is very much alike many simulation games where the main objective is to gather resources,
form alliances, and fulfill a series of tasks to speed up the progress.

2.2 Supply and Demand


Supply: New in-game utility tokens are generated (1) by completing predetermined tasks (P2E) or (2)
farming with already owned NFTs.
Demand: Tokens are burned when a player wants to speed up a process, move the character, or
perform other tasks, in yet again very traditional manner for a chance of further increased accumulation
of tokens.

2.3 Social Farming


When a player owns a genesis item of Quirky Plants they can farm utility tokens. The rate is by
default 1. If the participating player wallet also holds any or a series of NFTs from other green chip
collections, is this farming speed multiplied by factor shown in the formula below.
To further build the social in-game effect, a player may place their avatar closer to other avatars
(wallets) that are holding green chip NFTs to further increases the nearby wallet farming rate. The
amount of nearby wallets placed on the map, Plantiverse Land, is limited to 6. To be clear, holding
multiple NFTs of several collections does not only benefit your personal farming rate, but also players
adjacent to you.

2.4 Social Farming Factor
Let Xn represent the number green chip NFT collections represented in a wallet. Let Y1 , Y2 , . . . , Yn
represent their respective quantity held in the participating wallet. Let W represent the Wallet weight
factor. Let Sf represent the total Social Farming speed.
In short, nearby wallets add farming rate 5 percent of their total wallet weight. Wallet weight, in
turn, is determined by the total amount of green chip NFTs in a wallet per collection (Incremental)
and the total amount of different collections (Linear).

Example 1: Owning 1 green chip collection NFT (Quirky plant) would give you a base multiplier of
1. Owning two Quirky plants would give you and incremental multiplier of 1.03 2 = 1.0609.

Example 2: Owning 3 green chip collection NFTs would give you a base multiplier of 3. Own-
ing 12 of these green chip NFTs in these 3 collections would give you and incremental multiplier of
1.0312 = 1.4257.

The total Social Farming speed can thus be determined as per below

Sf = 1 × (W( self ) + 0.05 × (W1 + W2 + W3 + W4 + W5 + W6 ))

Example 3: Let the wallets have equal weight of the wallet in Example 2. Let the wallet in question
have 4 adjacent wallets.

Sf ( example) = 1 × (4.2771 + 0.10 × (4.2771 + 4.2771 + 4.2771 + 4.2771 + 0 + 0))


= 4.2771 + 1.7108 = 5.9879

2.5 Governance DAO
Initial selection of green chip NFT collections was made by selection of Quirky Plants Association
team, based on the participation and early involvement of the represented communities. The list will
be updated until the launch of Quirky Plants genesis collection and after managed by the community
DAO. Holding any of the NFTs listed below in the same wallet as Quirky Plant will increase the
farming rate of the player.

2.6 Further Development Opportunities


Ideas of what could be then implemented when all this has taken place - this is going to be more
collective effort where further ideas are sourced from the community. This is merely to set your brain
racing into what could be possible.

• Renting NFTs to scholars


• Community raids
• Tournaments special events

3 Summary
The main purpose of this concept and project is to prove an alternative in-game mechanic that has
new social features involving a number of sub-communities. Those who are engaged in not only one
but multiple communities at once naturally can enjoy increased benefits of in-game mechanics. The
Mechanic will be first tested and tweaked as we go through decisions of the governing DAO to make
sure system is balanced and sustainable.
