ABOUT ASSESSMENT
Your teacher will explain the assessment process and the assessment schedule and what you must
do to achieve competence. You can also refer to ‘TAFE NSW Every Students Guide to Assessment

Assessment Feedback: If you would like additional feedback about your assessment please see
your teacher.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): All TAFE NSW learners are eligible to apply for Recognition
of Prior Learning (RPL). For more information go to: https://www.tafensw.edu.au/enrol/recognition-
credit-transfers . Please see your teacher or head teacher if you wish to apply for RPL. You may
need to provide documentation or undertake assessment of skills and knowledge test.
Reasonable adjustment: If you have a permanent or temporary condition that may prevent you
successfully completing the assessment task(s) you should immediately talk with your teacher or
head teacher about ‘reasonable adjustment’.
Assessment appeals process: If you do not agree with the result given for your assessment task,
you may appeal the assessment decision. You should first discuss the assessment result with your
teacher or Head teacher who will discuss the appeals process with you.
Late Submission of Assessments: You are expected to submit assessments at the required time.
Please tell your teacher if you are not able to be present for an assessment task and at the
discretion of the teacher, alternative arrangements may be made. You may require a medical
certificate.
ACCESS TO RECORDS
You can check your enrolment information and final results on the student portal. Go to
https://sso.det.nsw.edu.au/sso/UI/Login; enter your user name and password. Once you have
accepted the conditions of use, you will find links to your email account as well as other student
services.
You can also request your teacher to provide you with access to current and accurate records of
your participation and progress at any time.
REFERENCING
All assignments must be referenced using the Harvard system, and include a Reference List. For
detailed information on how to reference your work, please refer to the TAFE NSW – Illawarra

2. Register as a student. Choose the Icon: ‘Catalogue’. Select the icon ‘Infection
Prevention and Control Modules’
3. Complete the ‘Infection Prevention and Control Modules online learning modules 1-
10.
6. Email these completed certificates to your teacher with a signed cover sheet .
