HR Audit for Enterprises

Abstract

The aim of this paper / presentation is 3 fold. The first is to emphasize the importance of conducting a
HR audit and to explain what it comprises of. Next is to enumerate a detailed 3-step process of
conducting a HR audit in a structured way that serves as a guideline to facilitate audit for those who
may want to conduct a HR audit. The paper / presentation also differentiates between a
comprehensive and a narrow audit giving the interested audience a choice between the two, while
offering an easy to read HR audit documents’ review list. Finally the paper / presentation
demonstrates these 3-steps followed at ALDAR as a sample institution when conducting the HR audit
during it’s previous financial cycle. Thus, revealing the internal review and the external review
conducted (Step#1), data collected and analysed (Step#2) and report & recommendations (Step#3)
given. The paper and presentation finally concludes by showing some of the actions that were taken at
ALDAR post the HR audit based on the recommendations given.
