Agreement On Collaborative Research
between
The Gyeongsangbuk-do Agricultural Research & Extension Seruices of
Republic of Korea
And
The Research Station for Viticulture Murfatlar - Romania
Grape
For the above project title, both parties are in agreement with these followings:
1. Project Objectives
1.2 Regional adaptability of grape genetic resources in both Korea and Romania.
2. Proiect Duration
2.1 This agreement will guide the collaboration for the period beginning March 2023 and
ending 31th of December 2025. However, it may be extended for the period if the parties
agree.
2.2 Base on the project outcome the duration of the collaboration may be amended and/or
extended through the joint agreement of both GBARES and RSVM to amendments to this
agreement
3. Project Strategies
The project described below is pursued by both GBARES and RSVM. The details of
implementation are arranged by both concerned authorities, and the research plan is
attached as appendix 1.
3.1 GBARES and RSVM will exchange genetic materials (bud wood) of grape species(VrTis
genus) to facilitate national breeding program of each country. GBARES and RSVM will
change in both directions the promising genetic resources and make the list of grape species.
3.2 RSVM will support breeding of grape for GBARES, such as cross combinations, hybrid

results of monitoring and evaluation of the pilot test to GBARES at the end of the project.
3.4 Based on the evaluation results of genetic resources, and the cooperation will continue

4. Exchange of researchers
4,1 GBARES will send two or three Korean researchers to RSVM (3-4 times lyear) and pay
international travel cost; RSVM will pay living expenses during staying in Romania from
