Affiliate Marketing:
● Defined as a commission based selling of someone’s products online.
● The marketers earn commission everytime they promote a company online or its
products and services to drive sales.
● The Affiliate/publisher:
- An affiliate promotes one or multiple affiliate products and tries to attract and convince
potential customers of the value of the merchant’s product so that they actually end up
buying it.
- Affiliates can be a single individual or a company
● The consumer:
-The buyers of the product or service
- Products can be sold on a channel that affiliate marketer thinks is fit.
- The affiliate system could be known or transparent to the customer.
● The Network:
-An intermediary between the affiliate and merchant.
-Sources(Clickbank, commission junction) handle payment and product.
4. Influencer Marketing:
Influencer marketing is the process by which brands leverage well-known figures who
have influence over their target markets to promote their brands.
● Using databases
-These are tools that will do the site-scraping for you by pulling publicly available
data.
- Cheaper and time efficient.
● Marketplaces
-Pulls in real-time information, and allows you to avoid middlemen.
-Provide less tracking but affordable.
-Eg: Tribe, HYPR, and Brand Snob.
