INTERVIEW GUIDE FOR STUDENTS

1. What are the difficulties encountered by PWD students in pursuing BSED


Mathematics?

1.1 As a student with a disability, what are your difficulties in pursuing BSED
Mathematics?

“Difficult sya sa akoa for the discussion bitaw sa klase kay pag naa ko sa layo
kay dili kaayo ko makaklaro sa mga gipangsulat sa board and hassle kaayo sya
sa akong part.”.

1.2 How did these difficulties affect your Mathematics performance?

“Maka affect sya sa akong performance kay ug dili ko makatarung ug paminaw,


bali dili ko makasabot like gagmay ug kuha sa exam ”

1.3 What are the topics in Mathematics that you think are difficult for you as a student
with a disability?

“Para sa akoa ang topics o ang subject nga naglisod ko kay kuan kanang
calculus jud.”
2. What coping mechanisms of the PWD students employed in dealing with the
difficulties encountered in pursuing BSED Mathematics?

2.1 What are your strategies to overcome the difficulties you have encountered in
pursuing BSED Mathematics?

“Para sa akoa, ang best strategies nga pwede mahimo para ma overcome if ever naa
may mga difficulties nga maagian kay kuan lang maminaw lang ug tarong sa teacher,
tapos sabton jud ang mga content nga e- tackle sa klase and sa atubangan ko
molingkod labi na sa akoa situation kay maglisod ko pag sa layo ko maglingkod ug
para mas makakita ug tarung”

2.2 How did these strategies help you to sustain your learning interest in pursuing
BSED Mathematics?

“Ay maka kuan sya makasustain sya ug learning interest kay bali para sa akoa
mamotivate ko. Ganahan ko maminaw sa klase kay mas klaro man sya sa akoa and
mas makasabot sab ko ani.”

2.3 Why do you think these strategies are helpful in pursuing Mathematics education?

“Kani man gud na strategy para sa akoa is helpful sya kay naa jud kay matun-an, kay
kon sa likod mn gud, daghan kaayo ug destructions like makuan kas tabi and dili
kaayo ko kaklaro jud, pero ug sa atubangan kay kanang klaro sya ug makapaminaw
ko ug tarong sa akong mga instructors.”

3. What are the insights of PWD students about the difficulties they encountered in
pursuing BSED Mathematics?

3.1 How would you best describe the experiences you have about pursuing BSED
Mathematics?

“The best experienced jud sa pag pursue nako sa math is lingaw sya, tapos daghan
kaayo ko ug nakat- unan kay ang math baya naa everyday sa atung life.”

3.2 How difficult is it to pursue BSED Mathematics, as a student with a disability?

“Difficult sya pag discuss ni sir nga naa ko sa layo or likod bitaw kay mas dili ko
maka cope up ug dali sa klase”.

3.3 Overall, what can you share with the other students with or without disabilities
who pursue BSED Mathematics?

“Kuan, ang ma share nako sa ilaha is with or without disability, maminaw lang jud
sa teachers and dapat ma excite jud ka permi sa lessons or klase sa mga teacher’s
and e enjoy lang nila ang ilang pag skwela kay ang math matun-an raman.
