INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: AN ETHICAL BEHAVIOR OF IT PROFESSIONALS

ABSTRACT- Information technology (IT) covers any form of technology, that is, any equipment
or technique used by a company, institution, or any other organization which handles
information. The application of information processing involving both computer hardware and
software that deals with the storage, retrieval sharing, and use of health-care information, data
and knowledge for communication and decision making. Information technology spans diverse
areas. It would be difficult to cover all of them in one source.
Some professionals produce products and services for profit. Information technology
describes any technology used to create and process or even in dissemination of information.
The information technology revolution is sweeping through our society. No one can escape its
effects. Dramatic reductions in the cost of obtaining, processing and transmitting information
are changing the way we do as of today.
It plays a significant role in the education construction of a student. The main intend of
this critique paper is to study the ethical behavior among professionals and point what is right
or wrong regarding the use of information technology (IT) in enhancing learning in higher
education.

1. INTRODUCTION
Information technology (IT) involves the study and application of computers and any type of
telecommunications that store, retrieve, study, transmit, manipulate data and send
information. Information technology involves a combination of hardware and software that is
used to perform the essential tasks that people need and use on an everyday basis.
Most of IT professionals work an organization and technically understand what they need in
order to meet their needs, showing them what the current technology is that is available to
perform their required tasks, then their current implementing technology in the setup or
creating a whole new setup. Information technology in today’s world understates the scope of
the critical career field. There is much- unexpected importance in information technology.
Moreover, it has helped in reducing the risks people had to undertake in many sectors. Also,
it has been seen that many people lack the basic education required to ensure the proper use
of the technology available today. In fact, most of them use it for the sake of fashion and hence
end up misusing it.
 2. FINDINGS
Based on the different analysis given by the article presented by the author, information
technology is witnessing a rapid evolution process in the need for information facilities in terms
of quantity, quality and access to information, in order to make the best decision based on the
different changes and dynamics.
The article also finds out that there are effects which is right or wrong in day-to-day basis.
Like effects on education, health system, political impact, economic impact, and in social
impact. Continue providing students with access to the basic technologies that are most
important to their academic success.
For example, expanding people’s awareness of the benefits, expectations, and demands of
blended learning environments. Ensure that commuter students have the tools and information
they need to take advantage of blended and online learning and leverage their institution’s
technology to meet their academic needs. Build collaborative partnerships across campus to
increase awareness and better meet the needs of the students who require assistive/adaptive
technologies. Increasing the use of student success tools that can contribute academic
performance. In particular, instructors and institutions should be aware of and consistently
communicate the benefits of information technology for the benefits and awareness to the
students and increase their use.
3. CONCLUSIONS
For me, information technology is the basic requirement of today’s world. Technological
progress is entering into all fields. Education was a big and important part of development and
progress. Information technology has changed human life radically, and not necessarily, all of
the changes are positive. Some may be negative and a detrimental effect on the individual and
the community.
There are many means of technology, including what serves science, education and
economy. There is a close relationship between science and employ (IT) inventions in the
different life’s areas, in order to meet the needs of the individuals and societies. Therefore, it
connects the governments, companies and societies to develop strategies to enhance the
lifestyle quality of the citizens.
