After the murder, Michelina said „I still have

nightmares that Marcin will come back to find me and ill

me.I want him to be locked up in a safe place for as long
as possible, so that me and my son can try to have a
happy life.
At the time of the attack, the couple was liing
together, but Marcin had heard rumours that Michelina
had finally had enough and intented to take Jakub, their
son and move back to her home country of Poland.
That’s when Marcin decided that his wife was better
off dead than in another country with his son, so he
called her up and asked her to go shopping with him.
The husband drove Michelina and Patryk(his friend)
to some woods on the outskirts of the town. The men
dug a shallow grave and dropped the box containing
Michelina’s body. They covered the box with dirt and put
a 90 pound log on top to make sure that she won’t be
able to escape.
Thankfully, she was a quick thinker and she did her
best to stay calm and conscious. All that she wanted to
do was get home to her young son. She remembered her
engagement ring and she decided to use the stones from
it and cut through the tape. Finally free, Michelina ran to
the road and signaled a motorcyclist for help.
After she went to the police, Marcin and Patryk were
arrested. The husband was found guilty of attempted
murder and sentenced to 20 years in prison, meanwhile
his friend was accused of complicity in attempted murder
and was given 8 years in prison.
