Assignment 4: Rhetorical Reflection

100 Points
Due: 5/5/23
Assignment Overview
For the final assignment, you will perform a rhetorical analysis of the major assignments you have
produced over the course of the semester to describe what you have learned about writing, rhetoric,
research, and genre. You will need to move beyond justifying your choices on aesthetic grounds (“I
thought this looked/sounded better”) and instead justify them on rhetorical grounds: Describe the
connections among your audience, purpose, and genre expectations and how you shaped your content
to address those expectations and needs.

To perform this analysis, you will need to quote directly from you three major assignments, as these are
the evidence you will use to support your analysis. Ultimately, you should describe how you hope to use
the rhetorical knowledge you have gained from this class, in your coursework, your major, your career,
or your community.
