To describe people's appearance, we need to know that there are rules to follow and some order
of adjectives (Para describir la apariencia de las personas necesitamos saber que hay reglas y
orden de adjetivos).

Adjective order (Orden de los adjetivos) Examples (Ejemplos)

Subject + have/has + color + eyes or hair He has green eyes and brown hair.
(Él tiene ojos verdes y cabello castaño).
Subject + be + height He is average height.
(Él es de estatura media).
Subject + be + color Her hair is blond.
(Su cabello es rubio).

Grammar Focus
La siguiente pregunta la podemos utilizar para preguntar y solicitar la descripción física de
una persona.
Q. What does she/he look like? (¿Cómo se ve él o ella?)
A. She is tall and average weight with black eyes and long black hair (Ella es alta y robusta con
ojos negros y el cabello largo y negro.)

Las siguientes expresiones las podemos utilizar para preguntar y solicitar la descripción del
carácter de una persona.
Q. What are you like? (¿Cómo eres?)
A. I am friendly and sociable (Soy amigable y sociable)
Q. What is she like? (¿Cómo es ella?)
A. She’s shy and hardworking (Ella es tímida y trabajadora)
