PR and Communications Brief

Who we are:
Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) is a non-profit
organization that has, over the last 21 years, implemented programs that inspire,
empower and advocate for greater representation of women in leadership positions in
the public and private sector. We have a contributory associate pool of 1,553
accomplished women in management, business, and public service. We collaborate with
credible domestic and international global organizations to deliver programs, which have
influenced over 313,071 women since inception.

Our vision at WIMBIZ is to be the catalyst that elevates the status and influence of women
and their contribution to nation building and our mission is to inspire and empower
women to attain leadership positions in business, management, and public service.

We have four strategic pillars:


1. We INSPIRE women to achieve professional development and to accomplish
entrepreneurial exploits, public sector and community development initiatives.
2. We have built a sustainable platform that enlightens and EMPOWER women to
achieve career, business, and public sector leadership.
3. We are a strong voice who ADVOCATE for gender parity and the increase in the
representation of women in leadership positions in business, management, and
the public service.
4. We create networking platforms to CONNECT professional women and female
entrepreneurs across a range of well-designed events for relationship
development and opportunities.

Our objectives are:


1. To educate and challenge women to maximize their potential and rise to the
inevitable work-life challenges that they will face.
2. To ensure the low representation of women in the workplace is perceived as a
business, social and gender-related issue.
3. To create a platform / opportunity for networking and building value-added
business relationships.
4. To build a sustainable support infrastructure for mentoring, career and business
guidance, and facilitation.
5. To improve the success rate of female entrepreneurs and increase the proportion
of women in senior positions in corporate organizations.

Our request
We are interested in hiring a PR agency to help us enhance our brand visibility, increase
our reach, and engage with our target audience effectively.

Our goal is to create a strong brand identity and positioning that resonates with our
stakeholders, including members, partners, sponsors, and the public. We want to drive
awareness of our cause, highlight our impact, and showcase our value proposition as a
thought leader and change agent in the industry. We aspire to reach and connect with an

international audience - explore innovative ideas to increase WIMBIZ brand visibility and
position us as a global organization at par with other major similar like organizations.

As such, we are seeking a PR agency to work with us on a retainer basis, providing


strategic counsel, creative ideas, and tactical execution across various PR channels,
including media relations, social media, influencer marketing, content marketing, and
events.

We are looking for a PR agency that has a deep understanding of our industry, our
audience, and our vision, and can help us craft compelling narratives that align with our
values and objectives. We want to work with a team that has a proven track record of
delivering measurable results, driving engagement, and building lasting relationships
with key stakeholders.

We are open to hearing your ideas and suggestions on how you can help us achieve our
goals and take our brand to the next level. Please provide us with a detailed proposal that
outlines your approach, methodology, team structure, timeline, and budget. We are
willing to invest in a long-term partnership that can help us achieve sustainable growth
and impact.

Key Deliverables
1. You are expected to deliver a proposal with a detailed cost-effective budget within
a week of receiving this brief.
2. You will be expected to present your proposal to a panel.
3. We are not prescriptive about the presentation format – we will be looking out for
a proposal that is creative, engaging and has ticked all requirements in line with
our expectations and potentially more (innovative ideas).
4. Your presentation should be sent to the contact email below 24 hours before the
pitch.

Budget

WIMBIZ is a non-profit organisation, and the budget submission should be conservative


and not presented with the view of it being a private sector organisation with similar
financial capacity.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality of the submission from your firm is guaranteed and WIMBIZ agrees that
the terms and provisions of your submission shall be kept confidential and shall be
disclosed only to those persons representing WIMBIZ as required by law or as permitted
by the leadership hereto.

All submissions are to be sent to executivedirector@wimbiz.org on or before; Friday,


April 21, 2023, with the presentation to the panel (if shortlisted) to hold the week after.
