Last meeting, we tackled about project-based learning and problem-based learning. I
learned that project-based learning is a systematic teaching method which students gain or develop knowledge and skills through engaging projects set around challenges and problems that possibly faced in real world. It requires collaboration with students and teacher guidance. Therefore, project-based learning allows student to demonstrate their capabilities while working independently and shows the student’s ability to apply desired skills such as doing research. Also, develop their abilities to work with other students and building teamwork and group skills. While problem-based learning is a student-centered approach in which students learn about a subject by working in groups to solve an open- ended problem. It helps students develop flexible knowledge, problem-solving skills, collaboration skills and intrinsic motivation. Therefore, problem-based learning promotes the development of critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and communication skills. Provide opportunities for working groups, finding and evaluating research materials, and life-long learning. Both project-based learning and problem-based learning solve real- world problems, develop and enhance 21st century skills, and both a cross-disciplinary.
