This agenda was raised in response to an email received from from Prof. D. Ganguly. Therein she had
mentioned in her mail that Debankan Chatterjee (2021EEB080) was absent in practical test and viva
(EE2272). She had provided the timings on 5th, 12th, 24th and 26th, April. But on all the dates he was
absent without stating any reason. Till that date, he had also not submitted any of the lab reports.
However, he appeared for the Laboratory Test on 26th April on the 5th chance.

As reported by Prof. Bhaskaran Barman,Debankan has done similarly for the Electrical Machines
Lab (EE2271). On the final day of the exam (27th April) he was absent and submitted only two reports
of the experiments out of seven.

Resolution 10(a):
The members of DUGC, E.E.,discussed andresolved that
i) No make-up test or viva shall be arranged for the candidate
ii) He should be given the part mark(s) for whatever laboratory experiments he has performed.
iii) His parents shall be called and informed about the alarming situation.
iv) In this and all such future instances the faculty members may refrain from providing
recommendation letters for internship/placement opportunities.

b) Mr. Shubham Mishra, 6th Sem student for forging documents related to Microprocessor Lab.

Mr. Shubham Mishra, 6th Sem student was found to have forged documents/reports related to
Microprocessor Lab (EE)
He took two data sheets from Abhranil Patra (whose Laboratory report file was missing). He
apparently erased/mutilated the name of Abhranil with whitener and wrote his own name. After that
he forged the signature of the PhD Scholar who had signed on the laboratory report and submitted the
file. When the matter was brought to the notice of the subject teacher Prof. K D Bhattacharya., and
Subham was further questioned, he admitted to doing what has been reported against him.

Resolution 10(b):
The following resolution was taken

i) No marks will be given for the two labs for which he adopted unfair means.
ii) Marks will be awarded as per rules, for all other components.
iii) This case should be reported to the SUGC for proper punitive measures as follow up.
iv)In this and all such future instances the faculty members may refrain from providing
recommendation letters for internship/placement opportunities.
In view of the rising cases of academic indiscipline and immoral activities the following
decisions have been taken, in general, for students of all semesters

1. A prize for a Good Moral Disposition, Discipline and Academic track record for students.

Those who have not followed the path of academic discipline, they may be deprived of any official
endorsement/ recommendation from any faculty of the department as mentioned earlier. These
names will be circulated to all faculty and students.

2. An attendance review shall be carried out after one month of the commencement of classes. Those
students who are errant should be brought to the Notice of the Counsellor of the particular year.

project.
As notified the semester will end on 12thof May, summer vacation will start from the 13thof May and
all the hostels will close from 13th May onwards; it will be difficult for the students to stay inside the

Registrar (Academic)about Mr. SayakChowdhury (Cx510619021) taking resort to unfair means
during the end semester examination. The invigilator present in that room, took his copy midway

exam there was some verbal altercation between the invigilator(s)and the student.

Resolution 10(d):
