Course Title: Literary Criticism

Lecture Unit: 3
Course Description: Literary Criticism presents the contemporary trend, approaches, perspective or
techniques to learning and teaching literature. It is the responsibility of the students to take their
responsibility for learning to use the language and literature, and whatever contemporary trend or
approaches effectively in a more functional, relevant and purposeful activity in the teaching of literature
classes. It also presents a body of knowledge or principles of contemporary literary criticism, analysis,
trend and literary background for students to discriminate “taste” for good literature, its enjoyment and
appreciation of their part.
