Dear Fellow Members of the HMCI,

The Himalayan Challenge 2023 is being run this year by Mr. Rajan Syal of Team Firefox from September
26 to October 5, 2023. This follows on from the two previous events run in 2021 and 2022 and this is a
beginning we are making with the inclusion of Classic Cars as we hope to push and popularise this facet of
cars in sport in a more regulated yet enjoyable manner.

We are looking to have at least 10 classic cars join us this year and for that the organisers - Team Firefox,
working alongside Mahindra Adventure will provide one Mahindra support vehicle per Classic Car entry
(mechanics and drivers for this to be handled by the Classic Car entrant of course) as that will be of great
help given the priced machine and also to have roadside support high up in the Himalayas.

There will also be a timed section on selected stages (one per day from 3 or 4 days of the 9-day event)
where the entrants can put their Classic Cars through their paces and the best performers would be
recognised with best performance awards. Also, all who complete the run will be given a finishers'
plaque/medal.

We have identified Classic Cars as any built prior to the year 2000 as eligible and the older the better!

The event will be luxury personified and high quality accommodation, facilities and catering of a high order
will be made available as we have witnessed in the previous two runs of the event.

Chandigarh Manali Zanskar Kargil - Leh -Gemur Manali
Team Firefox riding high on the success of Two outstanding events takes you to Leh on this pure
motoring adventure of a life time .

Starting from Chandigarh,the drive covers five high mountain passes including the highest
motoring road in the world to Umling La 5798M( 19,024ft) giving you the bragging rights of a
lifetime. Other notable passes Rohtang La ( 3978M) , BaraLacha La ( 4850M) , Tanglang La and
Shunkula Pass .

This event starts from Chandigarh and is over 9 nights .

There will be a Regularity Run On 7 days of the drive for first 100 Km every day . Special Awards and
Trophies will be presented.
We have outlined a spectacular route , very scenic especially the drive to Zanskar Valley and to Hanle
from Pangong. This is a wonderful chance to experience beautiful Ladakh in a curated drive for
enthusiasts with lots of bonhomie and fellowship.

Enthusiasts can witness the MotoGP at BIC, Delhi on 24th Sept. and come to Chandigarh on 26th
for check in and Registration and welcome dinner. The flag off takes place on 27th Sept. from
Chandigarh.

a) Registration Fees 40,000 With Details of Entrant below being 1st Instalment of Entry Fees.

c) 3rd Instalment Payable on or before 1st July 2023

Cancellation Policy
50% Cancellation Charges on Registration Fees if cancelled before 1st June.
50% Cancellation Charges of Ist or 2nd Instalment received if cancelled before 30th July .
75% Cancellation Charges of Instalments received if cancelled before 1st Sept.
NIL Refund if cancelled after 1st September incase no replacement entry is received.

Classic Car Owners are given a discount as an early entry fees .

COVID POLICY AND CANCELLATION OF EVENT

Due to Force Majeure circumstances if event is cancelled entry fees will be refunded in full less
nominal admin charges.

Health & Fitness- Participants over 70 must be in good health and should take their doctors clearance
before undertaking this Himalayan Challenge.
