We think that Mr. Kaufman was right to introduce the pathway programme for the new employees because most of the employees they hired were from their competitors and their habit was to change the company after every 2-3 years for better salary. They used to think that they work in the market not for the company. Their personal goals were much important for them. Pathway programme would built a more consistent pipeline of talent. 2. Should they offer more on-the-job training, or continue with the same methods? Yes, they should offer on-the-job training so he will able to train the employees inside the company as well as the employees from outside.

We think that Kaufman should not discourage the training programme and hire people from the industry as well but the main focus should be on the training programme. 4. What should Arrows management do to retain the talent?

Arrows management should do a survey on their competitors about what exactly do they offer to their salesperson. Because the reason behind the departure of the employees was that they leave the company for better salary. They should offer their employees a pay rise and they should get more recognition in accordance to their competitors so that the employees should not feel the need of leaving the company. 5. What should be the policy for compensation to the Sprouts? They can introduce the following policies : Performance appraisal Job\position evaluation Salary changes 6. Should Kaufman re-launch the training programme again for the college grads? Yes, they will have to re-launch the training programme because it will bring new energy and more professionalism to the sale force. 7. What should be the new compensation policy to retain the new recruits? Setting pay for the new employees Reclassification

What different kind of training programme they can start at Arrow Electronics?

At arrow electronics they can start Apprenticeship training for the sprouts. Apprenticeship training is done while working for an employer who helps the apprentices learn their trade, in exchange for their continuing labor for an agreed period after they become skilled.
