English activity: Book Review

The name of the book we chose is called "Unsolved crimes mysteries", the publisher, which the editor of
the book is "Capstone Press, and obviously, we cannot pass by the author whose name is Sean Steart.
This book was published in the year: august 13, in 2015.

Is not about a specifically story so it doesn’t take part in a specific place or have the same characters
through all the books. It shows a total of seven breath- taking crimes that where never completely
solved, most of them took part in the United States and the United Kingdom and only one took place in
Amsterdam ( always in big institution such as banks and airports ); The main characters in this stories
were always the burglar, thieves or robbers and the victims who lost most of their wealth , the ones who
were targeted and the ones who were affected physically by the occurrence.

As we can notice in the book is not about something specific as such, so it does not have something that
is extremely important for the story, but a general theme that is the crimes that have not been solved
yet, which is what we can find in the book and what each story of this revolves around. The most
important thing about the book is the similarity of each story between them, although they are very
different crimes, each one shows a relationship, the author of the book makes the criminals look like
very intelligent people who to be able to commit their act of theft should have executed a very good
plan and have patience through the plan.

Regarding to our opinion of the book each of us said something different:

“In my personal opinion I have always liked mysteries books , I always found police cases that have to do
with murders ( even if it’s not the case in this book) and unsolved mysteries interesting, the intrigue and
the feeling of not knowing what happened excites me a lot , in addition to this is incredible hoe people
can have so much imagination to arrive to this types of things mention in the book.

In my case I would recommend it, is short, easy to understand, interesting, it has multiple stories all of
them different but united by the same motive (unsolved mysteries and police cases), also it has a good
plot so a give it a 10/10” (Luz Daniela)

“I think it was lacking in details, as a fan in this kind of topic (mysteries and suspense) I wished it had a
bit more of information as how the crimes were committed and how they tricked and surpass the
difficulties, this is due to that I feel very excited when I get to know how the mind of this
persons(criminals) work and their point of view to end up creating such dangerous and surprising
situations living the world in awe” (Daniela C.)

“I think the book is very good and I found interesting that there where person so intelligent enough to
make their plans work”(Valeria Arboleda)
