In the present work, the consequences caused by the excessive use of mobile
telephones are disclosed, as well as some suggestions are given to reduce the use
of mobile telephones that everyone should apply in daily life since the telephone has
become very important for everyone and although there are rules, I think that
everyone should apply them in the most correct way and be able to reduce the use
of this same

CONSEQUENCES
Technological insomnia: Not so many years ago, people would go to bed and read
before bed or watch television. Now, watching videos, answering whatsapps, playing
games or taking a last look at social networks has become the most widespread
nocturnal habit among Spaniards: 8 out of ten say that it is the last thing they do
before going to sleep. Eye damage: Looking at a backlit screen progressively
damages the retina and causes dry eyes (more so if you wear contact lenses),
blurred vision, photophobia and headaches. Specifically, the most harmful thing is
to look at these screens in the dark or for many hours at a time. Save time: Today
transfers are increasing, the use of mobile devices has helped shorten distances
and perform certain tasks. For example, buying everyday products such as food or
medicine online. Anxiety due to not using the device: Forgetting the cell phone
causes anxiety and a withdrawal phenomenon occurs due to not having it in hand.
In fact, there are some studies that suggest how to measure this anxiety, for
example: how many messages and calls are made in a day, or how many times the
screen is checked. Avoid synchronous communication: Some individuals find
interpersonal communication quite difficult and prefer to do so through electronic
messages and social networks. However, this will further reduce your ability to
communicate interpersonally. Spine and neck problems: a forced position when
using our devices can have serious consequences for the neck and back. This is
caused by the weight of the head, since the more you tilt to look at the phone, the
weight on our shoulders increases more than normal.
SUGGESTIONS
- Deactivate notifications from social networks, messages, apps... and reserve a
limited time to consult them.

- Ask our family and friends that if there is something urgent they call us instead of
sending us messages.
- Not having the phone at hand when we are studying or when we go to the
bathroom.
- Stop using the mobile at least two hours before going to sleep, and try to fall asleep
reading a book in bed. In addition, it is preferable to use an alarm clock of those of
a lifetime and, if possible, leave the smartphone in another room.
- Carry out other types of activities that replace the use of the mobile such as some
exercise or taking walks, cooking, reading a non-electronic book, practicing some
type of craft...
- At family breakfasts, lunches and dinners, move the mobile away from the table.
- Maintain a correct posture so that its use does not damage our cervical and
muscles. Put the mobile phone at a safe distance, neither too close nor too far away,
and try not to use it for more than ten minutes at a time.

some rules for the proper use of cell phones

• Respect who you have in front of you by looking at their face and preventing
them from feeling ignored.
• Do not put the cell phone on the table when we eat together.
• Put the phone on silent until the end of the meal or meeting.
• Do not put music at full volume and less in public places.
• Do not talk loudly on the cell phone while in public places.
• Respect workers in public places and do not talk on the cell phone while
they serve us.
• Do not ignore quiet places or those where cell phone use is prohibited.
• Avoid talking on the cell phone while in the bathroom.
• Do not text while driving a vehicle.
• Set an example for your children by respecting these rules.

In conclusion, telephones and cell phones have evolved a lot over time, adding more
and more functions and entertainment to them, to such an extent that some people
cannot leave home without their cell phone, and not for reasons of phone calls, but
because of the need to have some entertainment or social networks at hand. We
started with a phone that we couldn't even get out of the house to end up with a small
pocket device that is essential to go out with our family or friends. Telephones have
even been replacing computers in some cases, since they almost have the same
functions and that is why we should carry out other activities in our free time to avoid
using it, spending more time with the family avoiding mobile phone since this has
many good and bad consequences.
