Greetings!

The undersigned is the newly minted Mayor of the City of Silay, Province of
Negros Occidental. Our City had been known as the “Paris of Negros” and the “cultural
and intellectual hub of Negros” due to residents’s love for knowledge and works for ard,
and its collection of heritage mansions built during the height of the Philippine sugar
industry’s success, of which Negros was the center. Today, Silay city is listed by the
Department of Tourism as one of its top 25 tourist destinations in the Philippines. It is
considered the seat of arts, culture and ecotourism in Western Visayas.

My administration being still in infancy stage needs a lot of support from various
national government offices especially your good Office relative to our need for various
significant projects to bring our City to new heights of progress.

The City of Silay during the past decades, did not have any significant
development projects on infrastructure although our City is rich in heritage, cultural and
tourism significance.

In this connection, may we have the privilege to request funding support for
various infrastructure and tourism projects of our City. Your support shall greatly help
the City of Silay on its development.

Should you find merit on this request, we shall be very willing to submit program
of works intended for various projects.

Hoping for your most kind consideration and approval on this request, thank you
