BASED ON THE RESULTS OF PHILIPPINE PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR TEACHER

(PPST)
The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Teacher Education Council (TEC) issued the
DepEd Order 42, s. 2017 entitled National Adoption and Implementation of the Philippine Professional
Standards for Teachers (PPST). The Department of Education recognizes the importance of professional
standards in the continuing professional development and advancement of teachers based on the principle
of lifelong learning. Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) aims to set out clear
expectations of teachers along well-defined career stages of professional development from beginning to
distinguished practice. It engages teachers to actively embrace a continuing effort in attaining proficiency
and apply uniform measure to assess teacher performance, identify needs and provide support for
professional development.
Based on the results of the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST), Lambunao
National High School had organized seminars and trainings like In-Service Trainings for Teachers to
ensure that they are highly knowledgeable and effective teachers. Some teachers had also attended
seminars like Regional Mass Training of Senior High School Teachers to guarantee that they are highly
