RATIONALE OF ACCOMPLISHED PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS (PAPs) FOR TEACHERS
BASED ON THE RESULTS OF PHILIPPINE PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR TEACHER
(PPST) The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Teacher Education Council (TEC) issued the DepEd Order 42, s. 2017 entitled National Adoption and Implementation of the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST). The Department of Education recognizes the importance of professional standards in the continuing professional development and advancement of teachers based on the principle of lifelong learning. Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) aims to set out clear expectations of teachers along well-defined career stages of professional development from beginning to distinguished practice. It engages teachers to actively embrace a continuing effort in attaining proficiency and apply uniform measure to assess teacher performance, identify needs and provide support for professional development. Based on the results of the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST), Lambunao National High School had organized seminars and trainings like In-Service Trainings for Teachers to ensure that they are highly knowledgeable and effective teachers. Some teachers had also attended seminars like Regional Mass Training of Senior High School Teachers to guarantee that they are highly equipped to implement the K-12 Program.
