CHAPTER II:
A. THE DAY OF PENTECOST (V.1-13) - The term Pentecost comes from the Greek Πεντηκοστή
(Pentēkostē), meaning "fiftieth". It refers to the Jewish festival of Shavuot celebrated on the fiftieth day
after the Passover (the major Jewish spring festival which commemorates the liberation of the Israelites
from Egyptian slavery, lasting seven or eight days from the 15th day of Nisan.).
- They have spoken “OTHER” tongues, not “UNKNOWN”. Means other languages of other nations unto the
uttermost part of the earth as the promise that the Lord Jesus Christ speaks in v.8 of chapter 1.
- The amazement of every nation and the recognition of God’s amazing works.
- The mocking of others saying “These men are full of wine”.

MESSAGE:

TITLE : A TRUE BELIEVER’S LIFE.

V.41 – “Then they, (Pertains to those who truly believed the Lord Jesus Christ) that gladly received His
word were baptized: and the same day they were added unto them about three thousand souls.”

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSES OR THE RESULT OF PEOPLE WHO TRULY BELIEVED IN THE LORD JESUS
CHRIST?

1. THEY WILL CONTINUE STEADFASTLY. V. 42

 Steadfast = Loyal, faithful, committed, devoted, dedicated, steady, true, firm, and trusty
Continuing Steadfastly in what?
A. Apostles Doctrine or “THE HEARING AND STUDYING OF THE WORD OF GOD”
* THE Bible is the Believers’ RULE OF FAITH AND PRACTICE (II Tim. 3:16-17; Matt. 4:4)
B. In Fellowship. Col. 3:16; Heb.10:23-25
C. In Prayers. *The Language of a true faith is Prayer” (Philippians 4:4-7;
*Effectual Fervent Prayer – James 5:16)

2. THEY WILL BE GREATLY UNITED (Extraordinary Unity) V.44 – (I Peter 8-11)

3. THEY WILL HAVE AN EXTRAORDINARY GENEROSITY. V.45
4. THEY WILL FAITHFULLY CONTINUE IN WORSHIP AND IN FELLOWSHIPS. V.46

*** A True Believer in Christ will continue on with all these things that we have learned. He will continue
because of that REVERENTIAL Fear that is instilled in the hearts and minds of all the true believers in
Christ.
 A Reverential Fear states that we should respect God’s power and authority, not because that He is
angry with us, but that fear shows that we desire to please Him, and HIM ALONE.

CONCLUSION:
V.47 – All of these things fall unto the CHIEFEND OF MAN. What is the Chief end of man?
The chief end of man is to Glorify GOD and to enjoy HIM Forever. (I Cor.10:31; Rev.4:11).

We trust God and rest in Him by faith, not because of what he has done, does, or might do for us, but
rather because of WHO and WHAT HE is.
We Only find the true meaning and fulfillment of our life in our lives with the Lord Jesus Christ. If we
are truly in Him, Believed Him with all our hearts, trusted Him with our lives and submitted our lives
to Him, then by His hand that cares for us wen can be able to continue steadfastly, we can be greatly
united having that extraordinary generosity with one another and to faithfully continue in Worship
and in fellowships.

ALL GLORY TO GOD!
