I think it is safe to say that the years 2021 and 2022 were the biggest

years for the superhero movie genre. The most anticipated movies
marked the return of the most popular and iconic superheroes of all
time, Spiderman and Batman in their brand new solo movies
“Spiderman: No Way Home” and “The Batman”. While both were very
entertaining and delivered what they intended, I found one of them
very disappointing.
The film that really stood up to me and exceeded my expectations was
“The Batman”. This movie really shows a part of the Batman character
that was never explored in other film adaptations, his detective side.
Throughout the hole movie, the audience can feel like they are The
Dark Knight in this interesting and complicated story of the hero trying
to find and stop the new mysterious villain that terrorize the rich and
influential people of Gotham City, The Riddle. The city really feels alive,
being a part of the story. The plot-twists, side stories and fight scenes
are really entertaining, every characters not feeling once out of place.
“Spiderman: No Way Home” was a great fan service movie, bringing the
past villains and spidermans from the iconic trilogy “Spiderman” and
from the fan favourite movies “The Amazing Spiderman”. But, other
than the sentiment of nostalgia, it didn’t deserved the hype that it
received. The story was quite boring, the side characters were out of
place and the city was blank.
I highly recommend both movies, but keep in mind to watch
“Spiderman: No Way Home” with little expectations.
