Bud, not Buddy!

Bud, Not Buddy is the second children's novel written by Christopher Paul Curtis
set during the 1930s.

Main Plot

The story follows a young boy named Bud Caldwell on a quest to meet his father
that he never met, with the few physical clues left by his momma and goes on an
adventure from a rough life in Flint to Grand Rapids in Michigan. Being put in a
foster home and getting bullied from the Amoses, then going on an escape and
camped in a Hooverville, then getting to Grand Rapids with Lefty Lewis, then
meeting his supposed father who leads a band. It is truly one heck of a
rollercoaster!

My Thoughts on it

The story is comedic, adventurous, mischievous, and overall, an enjoyable read!

Its story and its settings and unique characters would surely fascinate the young
and old.

Moral

Metaphorically and symbolically speaking, let's replace the main character Bud with
a real bud, a living breathing creature, of which it is in its infancy, though it is still
developing and not ready to fully meet the world.
