PURPOSE
LUBRICATION
- Reduction of Friction and Wear
- Extension of Fatigue Life
- Adsorb Fractional Heat and Cooling
- Prevent Other Matherial Entering the

The various lubricating methods are first
divided into either GREASE or OIL
LUBRICATIONS. Bearing performance can
be achieved by adopting the lubricating
method which is most suitable for the
particular application and operating
condition.

OIL lUB
When selecting a lubricating oil, the viscosity at
the operating condition is important. If the
viscosity TOO LOW, a proper film is not formed
and abnormal wear may occur.
The other side, if the viscosity is TOO HIGH,
excessive viscous resistance may cause
heating or large power loss. In general oils
should be used at HIGH SPEED. However, the
viscosity should increase with increasing
bearing load and size.

GREASE
Usually, grease made with LOW viscosity base oils
are more suitable for low speed and low
temperature, while grease are made from high
viscosity base oils are more suited for high
temperatures and heavy loads.
