1/72 Papermodel Template

To help bring Internet connectivity to more people, Facebook is designing solar-powered airplanes that will
beam Internet signal to people in remote, underserved regions within a 60-mile diameter. Each aircraft is
designed to be in the air for up to 90 days at a time.

This design is by Julius Perdana and is dedicated to the public domain with no rights reserved.

- Print the template using plain paper at least 100 gsm or more.
- Score every fold line before cutting except part 3
- Do not score part 3
- You can use PVA glue or UHU glue.

1. Place the spars (part 12 & 13) on the wing, 6 mm from the leading
edge like shown in picture below.
2. Place the wing on a level surface like on a table

3. Fold and close part 11 first and then part 12 and 13.
4. Do not move and keep the wing on a flat surface until the glue is set.

5. Cover part 11 seam with part 14
6. Roll part 3 by using a metal rod or a wooden stick, and
use your palm and move the rod side to side to shape
part 3 to a cylinder and close it with glue.
7. Fold and glue part 4 before attaching to part 3
8. Fold and glue part 6 before cutting it, so the back face
will also have printed surface (black)
9. Glue part 5 to part 3 like shown in the image below
10. Glue the propeller (part 6) on part 5.
11. Add glue inside the rear end of part 3 and pinch to make
cone like shape.

Color the white areas from the section of the model


being cut out, folded or scored by using a black
marker.

12. Place and glue each motor set on its place below the
7 wing.
13. Also fold and glue part 8 and 7 (Winglets) before
attaching on the wingtips.
14. Make the interior hole on part 1 using a cutter, before
cutting out the perimeter. Then shape it into a display
stand base
15. Insert the stand (part 2) into the hole on part 1 and glue it
to the inside bottom of the display stand base (part 1).

16. Glue the aircraft on top of the display stand using hot
glue, cyanoacrylate, or some other strong and quick to
set glue.
