“How Important are Water and Warmth to Seed Germination?”

● References: Students Book 5A page 32 and Workbook 5A page 15

● Materials:
- Green beans (40)
- Plastic cups (4)
- Cotton (12)
- Water
● Methods:
1. Place the same amount of cotton (3) in each of the four cups and plant 10 green beans in
each
2. Label and date each cup
3. Place each pot in one of the four different conditions (the table of place and condition is
given below). Sprinkle the seeds that require water once per day
4. Observe the cups and record the result every day for one week in the result table
