INTRODUCTION
1. Metrix proximity transducers are interchangeable with four series of Bently Nevada proximity transducers; probe
for probe, cable for cable, and driver for ProximitorTM.
2. Metrix is the only company with loop-powered transmitters for each of the Benty Nevada series in the field.
3. Metrix offers more alternatives for lower cost protection of your machines.

ProxMatchTM is just one of Metrix patented innovations to help you avoid common
mistakes in installation or component replacement of vibration transducers.
There are five different series of proximity transducers out in the field and each with specific “system lengths” critical
to proper operation. Within each series “system length” (i.e., 5 meters, 9 meters, etc.) are combinations of probe
lengths, extension cables and either drivers or transmitters. ALL MUST MATCH CORRECTLY. Patented Prox-
MatchTM uses color coding of each probe, cable, driver, and transmitter within a series and alpha-numeric labels to
make sure you have the correct probe to cable to instrument connection and automatically orients the extension
cable correctly.
Example 1: a 5 meter MX3300 sytem has a 1 meter probe & 4 meter extension cable.
It’s all light blue with probe to cable 4 to 4... and cable to driver 5 to 5.
4 or 8 4 5
Example 2: a 9 meter MX3300 sytem has a 0.5 meter probe & 8.5 meter extension cable.
It’s all light blue with probe to cable 8.5 to 8.5... and cable to driver 9 to 9.

Proximity Products
INTRODUCTION
METRIX transducer design overcomes the most common installation and use problems:
PROXIMITY PRODUCTS
• Mismatching probes, cables and drivers either by component size error or mixing components from other series
• Nicks in the cables easily caused during installation causing ground problems, erratic signals, and false
shutdowns
• Connectors corroding, backing out or improperly made-up and insulated acting much the same as cable nicks
• Machine lubrication or other fluids leaking through probes and up cables to fill junction boxes and driver enclosures
METRIX applies our newest transducer technology to all of our proximity transducers.
We have upgraded the designs of all of the proximity transducers interchangeable with the 3300 series as well as the
older 7200 & 3000 series still in service. We have overcome the design deficiencies of the older proximity transducers
and enhanced the design of the current ones. These latest design features on all series include:
SPECIAL PRODUCTS
Metrix makes special probes, mounting fittings, brackets,
and probe holders, and linearizes electronics for special
