Description of the Task

The goal of this task is to apply the
basic concepts of hypothesis
testing. By pair, you must
construct your own research
scenario using the given
instructions.
 Limitation
The constructed research
scenario must involve
STEM-related topics.
 Limitation
The study should focus
on the statistical
measurement of mean.
 Key Instructions:
Construct three (3) research scenarios and consider these
instructions for each:
1. The first scenario must have a directional alternative
hypothesis as the focus of the study. The test should involve
a right-tailed test and must require the use of z-test.
2. The second research scenario should focus on the null
hypothesis which uses a two-tailed test and requires the use
of t-test.
3. The last scenario should focus on the directional alternative
hypothesis with the use of the left-tailed test and requires
the use of t-test.
Expected Output
You must provide these items:
a) The description of the research
scenario.
b) The formulated hypotheses (statement
and symbolic).
c) The supporting details that explain how
the research scenario matches the
instructions for each item.
Expected Output
You must consider these criteria
for scoring:
a) Correctness (15 points)
b) Completeness & Organization
(15 points)
c) Content Relevance (15 points)
