We choose talk about the TV programme Big Brother,that is a reality show was created in the
Netherlands in 1999( one thousand nine hundred and ninety nine),by John de Mol, a dutch
television executive, partner of the endemol company.

After the premiere, the program quickly it won several different versions around the world

Diapositivo 3-regras:

Rules change from country to country, but the main ones are:

● Entrants may not use writing materials

● Participants are not allowed to talk about the program,for exemple,about the
producers or broodcaster
● Participants have to take care of the house
● Participants can never remove microfones
● every week, participants participate in weekly challenges to be able to have more
advantages at home
● participants cannot have any kind of aggression inside the house

Big brother lasts for about three months,in wich a group of people are confined with no
contact with outside world.

Participants intend to remain in the house until the last day, when the public will choose,
through voting, who will be the winner of the final grand prize. Although the winner is only
chosen on the last day of the program, the house staff is also obliged to vote for one or two
participants to be eliminated during the dynamics of the program, over the months of the
program, whichever has the most votes from the public leaves the Big Brother.

The first edition of Big Brother in Portugal began on the third of September in the year two
thousand and ended one hundred and twenty days later, on the thirty-first of December
of the same year. Until now, it maintains the title of the most watched program in the history of
Portuguese television.
In the beginning, the reality show was offered to SIC, but it was rejected. Later, the format was
offered to TVI, which agreed to broadcast the program for the Portugueses.

Big Brother Portugal has seven editions with anonymous and five more with celebrities and the
last edition took place last year.

We decided to talk about Big Brother because it is a world-famous reality show that we follow
and that generates a lot of entertainment both on television and on social network.
