¶ University students could always use some
extra money, but do they really have the time
for a job? While some believe that jobs are
necessary for a financially stable student life,
others believe otherwise.
For starters, jobs are pretty useful for students
to earn some pocket money and change their
working space. They usually spend all their
time in their rooms/dorms or libraries doing
homework, so breaking a routine while also
trying something new would be nice. While it's
not "easy money", they will feel accomplished
after getting their first pay. A job is also a good
distraction. University students have their ups
and downs like everyone else, so why not
distract themselves with something productive
like a job?
On the other hand, a job might not be the best
idea. Students are already busy as it is, they
have a lot of homework and studying to do, and
a job is very time consuming. Keeping good
grades and a job at the same time may be
possible for some, but for most it's undoable.
Secondly, jobs can be very stressful, so the
stress from the job added onto the stress that
the student life already causes them doesn't
sound the best. It's very likely to cause them
regular daily nervous breakdowns.
In conclusion, while a job might seem and
sound very tempting, it might be a bit too time
consuming and stressful for an average
student. I think getting a job over the summer or
winter break is nice, but having a job while also
having loads of homework would be nerve
wracking for anyone.
