MTHY RESEARCH PROJECT

A generally traditional account of allegedly historical events that aims to

explain a habit, religion, or natural phenomenon creation myths or to unfold
part of a people's world view.
Myths are stories that teach a lesson or explain anything about the natural
world. There are many gods and goddesses in myths. The gods and goddesses
possess superhuman abilities. Human emotions exist in the gods and
goddesses. Myths are full of magic. Gods and goddesses are frequently seen in
disguise. The good is rewarded, while the bad is punished. Myths can be
violent (but only in moderation!).
Myths are more than just stories; they have a deeper meaning in both ancient
and modern societies. Myths are holy stories that explain the universe and
human experience. Myths are just as significant today as they were in ancient
times. Myths provide answers to age-old issues and act as a compass for
successive generations.
A myth is a way of making sense in an otherwise meaningless world. Myths are
story patterns that give meaning to our existence. Fairy tales typically contain
some sort of fantastic element, such as magic, imaginary creatures, and often a
conflict between clearly good and evil sides. A myth is a religious story that
tells of supernatural beings or creators and usually explains some sort of
natural phenomenon. Hestia, the Virgin, Sekhmet, the Lioness.
