SHIFT IN MANAGEMENT TO CORPORATE GOVERNANCE


The phrase old wine in new bottles means implementing existing concepts as if they are new.
Old management practices cannot be phased out and deemed unimportant even in the modern
times. However, they are incorporated with better strategies to ensure a more effective way to
manage the organization.
The shift to just management to cooperate governance is a part of change that has been
embraced. Cooperative governance involves a system of rules and practices by which a company
is directed and controlled. It is not just about managing and growing a business but as well as
protecting it from internal and external forces that may cause it to not reach its ultimate goals.
Corporate governance brings about laws that ground everyone in the organization including top
management and ensures that resources are well utilized and not mismanaged.
It leads to the organization having a much more financial stability, fosters long term investment,
creates transparency, created stronger business growth, ensures that there is more accountability
and integrity.
Corporate governance does not only involve top management but also involves the community
and government as a whole.
Through corporate governance, it is easier for the top management to be held accountable on
how resources were used in order to achieve management goals. In each process there is
transparency and it leads to a smooth, effective way of carrying out the company’s daily
activities.

Sustainability development are the activities that organizations carry out in order to achieve their
needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Organizations can enhance sustainability development by;
Using modern technology that’s locally adoptable , eco- friendly and resource effective.
Technology can help organizations find alternative resources in production of goods and
services.
Reducing wastes which only lead to more pollution which only cause more damage to the
environment and this affects the coming generations.
Reusing and recycling materials is important to minimize resource usage , which reduces
pressure on our resources.
Creating a healthy workplace environment, which ensures the we’ll being of workers. A good
working environment helps workers become more creative and more productive. They should
also be well motivated and compensated which improves quality of life.
Creating more awareness to change the thinking and pattern of people’s actions towards
conserving the environment. This will help people within our communities to transform their
lifestyle’s into sustainable ones and pass the habits to their young generations.
Using green energy which is more sustainable and eradicate methods that deplete resources and
leave a carbon print to the environment.
Avoid pollution of any kind which damages our environment.

LEADERS WILL BE THOSE WHO EMPOWER OTHERS
I agree that future leaders will be those who empower others.
Empowering your staff means engaging them and cooperating with their needs, listening to their
ideas, giving feedback , valuing their input. This produces a high performing team.
Everybody within an organization wants to feel like they are contributing towards the vision and
goals of it. Empowering staff means this improves the confidence and they leverage on their
strengths and it becomes easier to even micromanage them as you use more time to lead the
organization and achieving the vision other than supervising what your staff is doing
Well motivated employees are given a chance to excel depending on their strengths.
There is greater trust and improved relationship, employee trust means that leaders don’t take
advantage of their hard work instead they recognize and applause a job that is well done and
give constructive criticism on the same.
Empowering employees allows them to tap into their creativity and they become not only more
productive but they bring new ideas that the organization.
A leader should give their employees access to enough and necessary resources to help them
accomplish their tasks.
Set clear expectations this allows them to make decisions that are in line with the organization
goals independently.
A leader does not see others as competition or less important, but gives others a chance to
flourish, fosters participation, nature’s them and gives them direction to bring out the best in
them.
