Jawaban

Capital flight is an outflow of capital carried out by residents of a country, whereas if the capital is
invested in the domestic economy, it will increase the social level (social return) and the potential for
economic growth.

Not only reducing economic power, capital flight also results in the weakness of a country's
government due to tax revenues. Another impact caused by capital flight is a decrease in the
purchasing power of citizens in a country. In addition, there was also a devaluation of currencies and
other assets. If there is a flow of capital, the demand for foreign money will increase, thus the rupiah
exchange rate will depreciate. This means that the volatility of capital flows causes changes to the
real exchange rate.

Trade between countries can lead to capital flight abroad because the circulation of money will occur
in international trading activities. So there will be no circulation of money in the country itself.
Capital inflows are income that can be in the form of investment money in the form of factors of
production, goods, human labor, machines, factories, land, buildings, and so on. On the other hand, if
the capital outflow is the flow out of the investment.
