Exposition- the background information on the characters and setting explained at the
beginning of the story.

Setting-

Characters-

Rising Action- conflict drives the plot toward the highest point or climax of the story.
Conflict(s)-

Climax- the highest point of tension in a story usually resolving the conflict between the
protagonist and antagonist.

What happens?

Falling Action- everything that happens after the climax and before the resolution.
What happens next?

Resolution (Dénouement)- unraveling the knot or the end of the story.
