Jocelyn: Guys, I'm curious about a difficult topic that isn't usually easy to tell others about. But, I want to
know more about you, so I ask you: what was the worst experience of your life?
Jesus: My worst experience for me was in my school four years ago when I had to recite a poetry in front a
crowd, during two weeks I practiced the poem and I was sure that I would make a really nice presentation
but that day in front of all people I was nervous, and the first two minutes I said nothing, I thought that I was
in a nightmare, I felt so bad and I tried to finish the poem but I could not, I ruined my presentation it was my
fault and I knew it.
After that I thought that If I didn't get nervous, I would do a better presentation, still I think that I have an
innate skill for get panic in front the crowd because If I had overcome my afraid, my poetry would have not
seemed impromptu, in short I had a horrible experience but I learned to keep the control of my emotions.
That experience helped me a lot because now that I have came back to the school I can complete my
presentations without I get nerveous and become an iceberg.
Gisel: Oh, it's too bad that you went through that, but it's good that now you don't have problems in your
presentations.
Jocelyn: Well, my worst experience was 4 years ago. All started, when suddenly I was in the school and the
teacher told me that my mother was in the hospital because she was sick. In that moment, my day became
more difficult because I couldn't leave of school to go with my mom and I didn't even know what she was
going through.
To be honest, I couldn't have helped at all but I was very worried for that situation. When, I went to my
house, there were my aunt and my sister. My aunt told me that My uncle took my grandma and my mom to
the hospital since early in his car because my mom felt so bad, but that she already feels better and she is
resting now, so that then they can come back to house. I thought that If my uncle hadn't taken my mom to
the hospital in his car, she would have suffered from pain until now.
After a few hours, they were in house and my mom was already in her bed to rest more because she was
still delicate and for that she had to follow a strict diet but the doctor also told them that she should stop to
eat some foods for her health. Now, I think that If that experience hadn't existed, my mother wouldn't realize
how she should take care of herself to protect her health.
Finally, I can say that this experience was difficult and stressful for me and my family, but now I am also
happy because my mother is well and healthy.
Gisel: No, they didn't tell her anything, the teacher who evaluated everything said that if there was bleeding,
it would be serious and they should take her to the office for supposedly pushing me, but I told her that
many of my classmates were witnesses to what happened, at the time I was crying and couldn't walk
properly. If I walked, it hurt like I was flexing badly, I went home after the accident and the next day I was
swollen and I was limping, it was horrible. I ended up undergoing very painful therapies and followed every
indication from the therapist and traumatologist, but to no avail. In the end, I found a good doctor and they
took plates from me, they told me that they had to operate on me and that it was serious. I really felt sad
because I don't like operations on my arms, spine or knees.
Gisel: Yes, thanks, I'm better now following the doctor's instructions.
Joselyn: Yes Gisel, take care of yourself and I hope to see you tomorrow.
