EMERGENCY ORDER
I, Adam J. Bello, County Executive of the County of Monroe, in accordance with
8 declaration of a State of Emergency issued on May 23, 2023 pursuant to Article 2B,
Section 24, ofthe New York State Executive Law, do hereby ORDER:
1. No hotel, motel, shelter, or other multiple-dwelling unit in Monroe
County, or any person or comporation acting on behalf of such hotel, motel, shelter, or
other multiple dwelling unit, may enter into @ contract with any municipality,
corporation, partnership, individual, or any other entity for the purpose of providing
‘emergency housing for more than ten (10) people in Monroe County unless and until
such person or corporation has submitted plan detailing how it will provide adequate
care and services for those individuals receiving emergency housing to the Monroe
County Department of Human Services (an “Emergency Housing Plan”) and such
Emergency Housing Plan has been approved by the Monroe County Department of
Human Services,

5. The County Atomey is authorized to commence ations or proceedings in
the name ofthe County in scour of competent jurisdiction to enforce the provisions of|
this Emergency Order. Such actions or proceedings shall be in addition to, and notin
substitution or limitation of, ny other remedies or penalties available to enforce this
Emergency Order.
