Story Mill Rural Fire Distriet Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes May 24, 2022 The Board of Trustees meeting of the Story Mill Rural Fire District was called to order at 6:15 pm at Room 325 of the Norm Asbjornson Hall on the MSU Campus — Bozeman, Montana Persons present: Trustees Dan Archer, Paul Griffin, Kathy Campbell, Tom Moore and Andy Epple Notice of the meeting was made by the Districts website (storymillfire. weebly.com), Agenda Items: 1) No changes, corrections or additions were suggested and the previous meeting minutes were approved by Dan, They will be posted on the district website. 2) Treasurer’s Report: a. Linda Willmuth is missed by all present... Kathy is filling in until elections completed. ». Insurance cost for Board liability coverage increased $35 from last year, The total owed is $1220 per year. Kathy (treasurer) will make the payment. ¢. Preliminary budget passed to Board for signatures ~ it will be finalized when mill levy’s are known in September. When completed it will be posted on the district website. 4. An Oath of Office will be distributed when received (by mail) for members to sign and take to the County Elections Office for notarization and submittal 3) Public Comment ~ no members of the public were present and no comments were received. 4) Elections: Volunteers for Board positions were solicited and voted upon, The positions are a. Dan Archer ~ Chair: Dan will continue as chair — this was so moved by Andy and seconded by Kathy. b. Paul Griffin ~ Vice Chair: this was so moved by Andy and seconded by Dan. ©. Kathy Campbell ~ Treasurer: this was so moved by Andy and seconded by Dan. 4, Tom Moore - Secretary: Tom will continue as secretary ~ this was so moved by Tom and seconded by Kathy. All votes were unanimous. 5) Other Business: a, Andy Epple procured a large-scale map of the district and suggested that he will mount it for preservation and presentation at future meetings. Paul copied small examples and handed them out to the board. The map will be posted on the Story Mill Fire website. b. Dan verified that, if needed, a deputy county attorney will represent the board ¢. Future meetings will be as necessary and posted on the website 6) Adjournment: Dan moved, and Andy seconded, with unanimous consent, that the Board meeting be adjourned, The meeting was adjourned about 7:15 pm.
