6 ABSTRACT
‘A process for the recovery of ethane, ethylene, propane,
ppepylene and heavier bydrocazbon componeni, fom &
hydrocarbon gas steam is disclosed. In recent yeas, the
preferred method of separating a hydrocarbon gas steam
generally includes supplying at lest portions of the gas
Stream to fractionation tower aving atleast one boiler,
fn often one of more side rboiles, wo supply eat to the
columa by withdrawing and heating some of the tower
liga 1 produce stepping vapors that separate the more
volatile compooents ftom the desiced components. ‘The
reboiler and side reboles i any) are typically iterated
ino the feed stream cooling sebeme to provide atleast a
portion ofthe refrigeration needed to condense the desired
omponens for subsequent fractionation i te disilation

feed sueams and theeby improve the efiieney with Which
the desired eomponens are recovered. In adiion, the ower
