2.1. General documents
LV-SDS installation and configur- The LV-SDS installation and configuration guide gives instruc-
ation tions for LV-SDS installation in various operating systems. It
also describes configuration options for individual LV-SDS
components.

LV-SDS support and The LV-SDS support and troubleshooting guide provides all
troubleshooting the support oriented information about our products, as well
as description of some logging and diagnostic tools/files that
can help troubleshooting your application in case of any
problems.

Custom LV-SDS setup The LV-SDS custom setup guide describes options how the
standard LV-SDS setup can be configured. It also provides
guidelines for users creating their custom setups including LV-
SDS.

LV-SDS revision history The LV-SDS revision history lists information on changes, new
features and bug fixes in individual LV-SDS versions.

2.2. LV-SDS libraries

Orchid Higher level library encapsulating the complex low level libraries
(Daisy, DRAL) in a user-friendly effective interface. It can be
used either as a DLL or as an OCX component. The library
comes with a user guide.

Daisy Core LV-SDS library, a common base for all the higher level
interfaces. Daisy provides most of the functionality for image
acquisition, hardware control and interface to the system. It
comes with a user guide and a reference guide.

Sequencer DRAL A support module allowing user applications to acquire image

sequences in the selected target buffer. Its interface is very
flexible, allowing to control the sequence acquisition through
a fine-grained set of parameters. See user guide and reference
guide for detailed information.

Image Preprocessing Library A support module allowing the application to perform some
simple preprocessing on the acquired images. It can be used
either standalone or in conjunction with the Sequencer DRAL.
See user guide and reference guide for detailed information.

Camera Control Library Library allowing to control camera features through a unified
interface, hiding all the camera specific communication proto-
cols from the user. The cameras can be automatically adjusted
to proper working mode compatible with desired LV-SDS
configuration. Its primary focus is on Camera Link cameras and
their serial interface, but it can be used with other cameras
providing remote control (e.g. over RS-232) as well. The library
comes with a user guide.

Camera Link API Library Library providing API for serial communication through our
Camera Link frame grabbers, as required by the Camera Link
specification. The library comes with a user guide.

PicSight®-Smart Library API Library providing interface for programming the PicSight®-
Smart cameras. The library comes with a user guide and a ref-
erence guide. The user guide gives also description of all the
corresponding developer tools.

Digiport I/O Library Library enhancing the standard functionality of LV-SDS allowing
complex I/O handling on DigiPort I/O boards up to communic-
ation protocols using opto-isolated inputs and outputs. The
library comes with a user guide.

2.3. LV-SDS tools

Camera Editor A tool maintaining LV-SDS camera database. Every camera to
be used with LV-SDS should have an entry in Camera Editor
database. Individual entries (parameters) stored in the database
describe different features or properties of the camera so that
the LV-SDS libraries can handle the camera properly. The user
manual describes user interface of Camera Editor, individual
database entries describing various camera features, as well as
other related topics, such as maintaining multiple database
files, camera control and more.

PicPort® and PicProdigy® demo Demo application allowing to experience most features of all
our hardware products (frame grabbers and cameras) and the
LV-SDS libraries. The user manual describes completely its user
interface.

PicSight® demo Demo application similar to PicPort® and PicProdigy® demo,

but focusing solely on PicSight®-GigE cameras. Its user manual
describes interface of the application.

2.4. LV-SDS multimedia drivers

DirectShow filter An interface exposing limited LV-SDS functionality through the
DirectShow API. The interface comes with a brief manual de-
scribing its features and use.

TWAIN driver An interface exposing limited LV-SDS functionality through the

TWAIN API. The interface comes with a brief manual describing
its features and use.

Video for Windows driver An interface exposing limited LV-SDS functionality through the
Video for Windows API. The interface comes with a brief
manual describing its features and use.

MCI driver An interface exposing limited LV-SDS functionality through the

MCI API. The interface comes with a brief manual describing
its features and use.

2.5. LV-SDS interfaces to 3rd party products
