This document provides instructions for an open-ended control systems lab assignment where students can choose any system except a DC motor to implement and tune a PID controller on, with requirements that the controlled system has a settling time less than 2 seconds, overshoot less than 5%, and steady-state error less than 1%. Students must complete the task individually, prepare a documented report and presentation with MATLAB screenshots, and email the materials by a deadline before presenting and submitting print copies for evaluation.

You can choose any of the system except DC motor.
Implement PID controller and obtain the desired responses as you do/are doing in the control Lab by varying/tuning the gains.
Design Requirements:
Settling time less than 2 seconds
Overshoot less than 5% Steady-state error less than 1% Note:
1. This is an individual work.
2. Prepare a well-documented report on this along with a 5 slides presentation (Don’t include welcome and thanks slides). 3. The evaluation will be done in lab on Tuesday 30th May-2023. 4. Presentation and report must contain the MATLAB file screenshots. 5. Each student must email me this report, presentation, and MATLAB files for this task (all attached in a single email) before 9pm Monday, 29th of May-2023. 6. You must bring all these components in print form for submission in during evaluation on 30th May-2023.
