THE NEW DEAL

What are the three things Roosevelt wanted the New Deal to accomplish?
The new deal had 3 objectives, relief, recovery and reform. He wanted to help poor
and unemployed people with relief, he wanted to help the economy get back on
track, and he wanted to reform the financial systems so the same thing wouldn't
happen again.
Explain the 2 parts of the New Deal (the first New Deal and the Second New
Deal).
There were two parts, the first was to change the economy and help the banking
industry. The second consisted of using the nation's resources to help farmers, as
well as creating government programs (CCC and WPA).
What are two agencies created by the New Deal and what did they do for
Americans?
The two agencies created were the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)
and the Federal Housing Administration (FHA). The first made bank money safer so
Americans wouldn't lose their money, and the second made homes safer and more
protected.
What were two criticisms of the New Deal?
The two criticisms of the new deal were the waste of money because people thought
that the reforms were a waste of money, and the other was that the people thought
that Roosevelt was taking them to the path of of socialism.
