La baja presién del combustible también puede causar la cavitacién del combustible, {o cual puede danar los inyectores de combustible, Las siguientes condiciones pueden causar la baja presion del combustible: + Filtros de combustible taponados + Suciedad acumulada en las valvulas de retencion de la bomba de cebado del combustible “+ Suciedad acumulada en fa valvulareguladora de presion| \Valvula de retencion parcialmente abierta \Valvula reguladora de presién del combustible desgastada o Que se atasca, en la bomba de transferencia de combustible + Desgaste severo en la vélvula reguladora de présidn del combustible de retorne &h la base del ftro del combustible Engranajes desgastados en la bomba de transferenicia de combustible. “Tuberias de combustible aplastadas o tuberias de Combustible demasiado pequefias “Tuberias de combustible viejas con diémetto interior reducido debido a que se han hinchado ‘Tuberias de combustible con superfiies intériotes deterioradas, + Conexiones de tuberfa de comblstible aplastadas o demasiado pequenias + Suciedad en el tanque de combustible lag tubertas de combustible 6 Jos components del sistéma dé combustible que producen restricciones. Alta presion del combustible La presin excesiva del combustible puede causar que las juntas de ito Gal combustible se rompan. Las siguientes condiciones pueden causar la alta presin del combustible: + Orificios taponados en la valvula reguladora de presion del combustible + Valvula reguladora de presién del combustible atascada en la bomba de transferencia de combustible + Tuberia de retomo de combustible aplastada Lecturas de presion del combustible La presion tipica del combustible del motor ala temperatura de operacién puede variar. A velocidad baja en vaclo, la presién del combustible puede ser de 538 kPa (78 psi). A altas rpm, la presion del combustible puede ser de 641 kPa (93 psi). El endimionto del inyector unitarlo se deteriora cuando la presién del combustible caiga por debajo de 241 kPa (36 psl). En esta situacion, se ‘pueden producir problemas de potencia baja y funcionamiento irregular. Insta el 3Y-2888 CConector con un 34-1907 Sell Anular. Instale un mandmetro y arrangue el motor. Se puede ullizar el 1U-5470 Grupo de Presién del Motor para revisa la presi6n del combustible del motor. grupo de presion del motor incluye la Instrucci6n Especial, SEHS8907, "Using the 1U-5470 Engine Pressure Group". Esta instruccién proporciona informacion sobre la utlizacién del grupo.
