End of Year 10 Examinations Results & Tutor Comment

The examination grades reflect the performance of your child in the written theory examination taken during the End of Year 10 Examinations and do not take into consideration the
coursework element nor are the grades an estimate of the achievement forecast at the end of the course. The fine grades indicate mastered (+), secure and weak (-). Students
studying combined science will be awarded two GCSEs, this is reflected in the Examination GCSE grade.

Year 10 Tutor Comment

Simon is a lively and vocal member of the tutor group who always gets involved in topics we discuss. Simon has recently earned the position of White Badge Prefect and I am sure he will excel in this role. It is a
pleasure to have Simon in the tutor group. Simon has made a good start to his GCSEs and this is evidenced through the many positive Class Charts points he has gained for excellent work. I hope Simon is proud of
himself and continues to work hard in all of his lessons. I would encourage Simon to begin to complete regular revision as he approaches the end of Year 10. This will make Year 11 less stressful and ensure he is
prepared for pre-public examinations and his final GCSEs examinations. In Term 6, Simon will be taking part in work experience and has informed me he will be working in a primary school during this time. I hope Simon
embraces this opportunity and gains valuable experience from it. I wish Simon the best of luck next year as he begins his final year of GCSEs.
