DESIGN RISKS
This could be in the form of design mistakes or omitted information. This could also be
when plans don’t get done according to schedule.
CHANGE ORDERS
An addition/ modification in the initial design. If not handled properly could cause conflict
with the budget and cause delays in construction.
EXTERNAL RISKS
The public could object the construction of a project, new laws and ordinances in the
vicinity may affect the development.
ORGANIZATIONAL RISKS
Lack of experienced workers or a change/ replacement of the team in charge of
construction. It could also mean problems in supply and delivery.
ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS
Natural hazards such as the site being near a fault line or an active volcano. It could
also be Man-made hazards such as the site being alongside a polluted river.
SUBCONTRACTOR DEFAULT
Failure of sub-contractors to finish their specified task on time or within quality
standards. This could push the project off-track, causing delays and extra expenses.
CONSTRUCTION RISKS
Change in property and material costings, errors and mistakes in building, as well as
changes in technology.
