Please Note:
1. Treatment scheme is designed on the basis of given inlet parameters and
hence any change or variation in the inlet parameters of water shall have
implications on the outlet quality of water where offer stands subjected for
revision and may have both technical & commercial change implications.
2. Also, any change in CPCB Norms between the ordering phase and execution
phase will lead to technical and commercial change in the given offer.
3. Treated water will be applicable for the industrial use only. There is no as such
application with the treated water quality directly with the human
consumption. In case any deviation in the design parameter as mention
above or the water quality will deviate as per the specify norms of WTP inlet
unit, In which case this Techno - Commercial offer would stand to be revised,
as deemed corrected by us.
D. PROCESS DESCRIPTION
Coagulant Dosing system: - Alum Dosing
Coagulation - flocculation processes facilitate the removal of suspended solids,

turbidity and colloids. Suspended solids of sand and gravel of size greater than 1mm

settle rapidly in water. Clay-like material of the size of a few microns take time to
settle; while colloids which refer to particle size in the sub-micron range cannot settle
naturally and so the process of coagulation - flocculation brings about the settling
of these substances to affect their removal.
The process of coagulation is the first step, which destabilizes the particle’s charges.
Coagulants with charges opposite those of the suspended solids are added to the
water to neutralize the negative charges on dispersed non-stable solids.
Polyelectrolyte Dosing system: -

Following the first step of coagulation, as second process called flocculation occurs.
Flocculation a gentle mixing stage increases the particle size from sub-microscopic
to visible suspended particles. The microflocs are brought into contact with each
other through the process of slow mixing. Collisions of the microflocs particles cause
them to bond to produce larger, visible flocks called pinflocs. The flock size
continues to build through additional collisions and interaction with inorganic
Polyelectrolytes from by the coagulant or with organic Polyelectrolytes adds..
Flocculation is the agglomeration of destabilized particles into microflocs and later
into bulky flock which can be settled. The introduction of reagent called a
flocculants or a flocculants aid may promote the formation of the floc.
Flocculation Tank & Tube Settler

Water containing suspended particles is pumped into the
Flocculation tank. There we will dose chemicals like Alum
and Polyelectrolyte for proper coagulation and flocculation.
After mixing, the water will enter into the flocculation zone
where slow speed agitator will ensure the formation of flocs
and it will not allow the particles to settle down. Water will enter into the Tube Settler
from the FT.
Tube settlers and parallel plates increase the settling capacity of circular clarifiers
and/or rectangular sedimentation basins by reducing the vertical distance a floc
particle must settle before agglomerating to form larger particles.
Tube settlers use multiple tubular channels sloped at an angle of 60° and adjacent
to each other, which combine to form an increased effective settling area. This
provides for a particle settling depth that is significantly less than the settling depth
of a conventional clarifier, reducing settling times. Coagulated suspended matter
settles down and clearer water flows up, which is drained out from the hopper

Chlorination system:-
The raw water will be chlorinated by dosing (NaOCl) Sodium Hypochlorite
solution by means of a metering pump. Chlorination serves the purpose of
disinfection, in case bacteria are present in raw water. It is also useful for oxidation of
ferrous ions to ferric state. The chemical is dosed by means of an electronic dosing
pump wherein a facility is available for manual control of stroke length and stroke
frequency.
Dual Media Filter:-

The raw water is pumped through the Dual Media Filter for reduction of
suspended solids. Dual Media filter consists combination of Anthracite sand of
various grades as a filter media. When the pressure drop across the filter occur, the
filter is backwashed to remove dust and dirt.
The effluent, from Filter Feed tank / Nano Filtration outlet St. Water is pumped
into Dual Media filter (DMF). Dual Media filter would be provided complete with filter
backwash arrangement to ensure reduction of Suspended solids & turbidity at the
outlet of the DMF. This filtration step reduces the suspended solids, before taking it to
downs stream systems.
This unit works on the phenomenon of surface filtration. The unit offered consists
essentially of a mild steel pressure vessel. It is externally fitted with necessary pipe
work, valves, pressure gauges, and sampling points at the inlet and outlet.
The filtration bed consists of fine sand as well as Anthracite media of specified
size over a layer of gravels. Water flows downwards through the filter bed and the
suspended solids are retained on the sand surface and between the sand grains
immediately below the surface. The filtered water is evenly collected by header
lateral type bottom collecting system.
At a certain time interval the pressure drop the backwash of filter is initiated to
clean the filter bed. The backwash water at specific flow rate is pumped through the
filter bed in upward direction to facilitate expansion of the filter bed. The particles
are kept in suspension and are washed and dirty water is sent to drain from the upper
side of the vessel.
Once the backwash cycle is completed, filter is taken online for service after
a final rinse with service flow rate.

deviations on the above mentioned vendor, price implications shall be extra at actual.
ANNEXURE – IV: COMMERCIAL SCHEDULE
A. COMMERCIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
DELIVERY
We shall design, manufacture and supply the equipment within 1.5 – 2.0 months. The
above delivery period shall be reckoned from the date of receipt of advance and
commercially and technically clear purchase order, whichever is later.
WARRANTY FOR EQUIPMENT

All our equipment is thoroughly inspected before dispatch and therefore can be
depended upon for long and trouble free service. Our liability in respect of any defect or

failure in the equipment supplied and commissioned by us or any loss, injury or damage

attributable therefore shall be limited to making good by replacement or repairs, provided

the equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with our instructions and arise
totally from proven faulty design, materials or workmanship. This warranty shall be valid for a
period of 12 months from the date of commissioning of the equipment or 18 months from the
date of last invoiced dispatch, whichever is earlier. Our liability in no case shall exceed the
invoiced value of the equipment supplied by us, and we shall not be liable for any
consequential damage or loss such as loss of profits, loss of business opportunities, damage
to goodwill or business reputation or any other contractual liability or loss suffered by the
Purchaser to third parties. All warranties other than title either express or implied whether
arising under law or equity including Warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular
purpose are excluded from the contract. This is the essence of the contract.
This warranty is valid subject to the following conditions:

a. Bought out components are guaranteed by us only to the extent of guarantees given to
us by our suppliers. Electrical components such as heaters, motors, contactors, etc.,
rubber components and instruments such as pressure gauges, etc. are however not
covered under this warranty.
b. In respect of the equipment where dispatch after readiness is delayed due to specific
instructions or lack of instructions from you, the warranty will be limited to 18 months from
the date of readiness for dispatch of equipment as notified by us.
c. No repairs or replacements, unless authorized by us in writing, will be carried out by any
other party on our equipment during the warranty period.
d. The warranty period does not cover the following:
1. Normal wear and tear
2. Damages/defects arising out of mal-operation of the plant by the purchaser and
accidents.
3. The equipment or part there of being subject to accident, alteration, abuse or misuse.
4. The equipment not being operated and maintained as per Operation and
Maintenance Instructions.
WAREHOUSING CHARGES
Should dispatches be delayed on our purchaser's instructions or any other reason
attributable to Purchaser, warehousing expenses shall be payable by the Purchaser @2% of
the consignment value per month or part thereof.
FORCE MAJEURE
We shall be under no liability for delay in delivery/completion of work if we or our sub-
contractors/suppliers are prevented from discharging our respective obligations under the
contract for causes beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to war(whether

declared or not), invasion, acts of enemies, hostilities, riots, civil commotion, labor

disturbance, strikes, lockout, layoffs, mutiny, insurrection, rebellion, revolution, epidemics,

accidents, sabotage, fire, earthquake, floods, government orders and restrictions, legal
enactment, delay or inability to obtain materials due to change in Import policy or other
statutory restrictions, lack of transport facilities, interruptions/restrictions in power supply,
damage to or breakdown of plant, machinery and equipment etc.
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
Neither party shall at any time be liable to the other for any loss or profits or any similar
indirect damages, however, described, incurred or suffered by either party in respect of the
project.
VALIDITY
Unless previously revoked, our offer shall be valid for 30 days from the date of this
proposal.
GENERAL
Any condition or other matters pertaining to this offer not expressly stipulated will be a
matter of mutual discussions and agreement at the time of accepting the order.
NOTE:-
QSPL reserves the right to change or modify the equipment specifications.
The scope of supply is restricted to supply of equipment as specified in the proposal. Any
subsequent additions or alterations will be acceptable to us provided it is convenient to do
so and the prices and delivery period are suitably revised. Separate Purchase Order will be
required for Supply of the material & Supervision of Erection & commissioning.
B. PRICE AND TERMS OF PAYMENT
PRICE:-
Our most competitive price for the Design, engineering & Supply of the GWTP Plant as
described in the offer and with your given scope of supply list shall be as follows:
Rs 4, 15, 000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs fifteen thousand only)
PRICE BASIS:
The above prices are FOR site exclusive of:-
• GST @ 18% as applicable will be payable extra.
Please Note: If there are any statutory variations/implications in taxes and duties before the

Erection & Commissioning: - The Erection & Commissioning will be in our scope, however
unloading and safe storage of material & accommodation of our Engineer & Erection Team
ll be provided by Client.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
• 30% of the total value of the order to be paid as advance along with the technically
and commercially clear purchase order.
• The balance payment of 70% along with full value of all taxes, duties and other levies
against readiness of material for dispatch and submission of Pro forma invoice prior to
dispatch.
