Scope of manual This manual has been realised by VIBROWEST ITALIANA stl, to supply the necessary information to anyone authorised to carry out in safety the activities of transportation, movement installation, maintenance, repair, disassembly and elimination (at the end of its working life) with the sieving system comprised of the Vibrowest MR series vibrating sieve, in possession or not of the following accessories: BALLS, KLEENERS, STARBRUSH, COVER GROUP (hereafter the system, with accessories or not, is simply referred to as the System). Failure to observe the instructions contained in this manual may 1 safety of persons, and financial loss In addition to adopting the rules on good conditions for industrial machines, the information must be read carefully and applied rigorously, The documentation must be in the custody of the person for which it was intended, in a suitable place in order that it is always available for consultation and in the best possible state of conservation. In the case of loss or deterioration, replacement docume: Constructor citing the code of this manual The manual mirrors the state of the legislative laws in foree when the Separator came onto the market. The Constructor, however, reserves the right to make modifications, integrations or improvements to the manual itself, without rendering the present publication inadequate. Work may be done within the limits of varying voltage and frequency shown above, but the retum may not be the same resulting from a supply with a line voltage equal to the nominal values of the motor. 5.2. Positioning the System Cheek that during handling operations the System has not suffered visual damage. Position the System in the desired location, using the methods indicated in Paragraph 3.2, [. 7UM-MR ENODT2 The minimum distance between the System and the nearest obstacle (A in Fig. 14) is equal to the diameter of the System, and in any case not less than 1m. Ensure that the access door for the counter-weight retainer is in an easily hable position, Failure to respect this distance could make the System work less officiently and break the mechanical parts, because of the harmonic frequencies which would result, thal is on account of the collisions. 5.3. Anchoring the System ‘To anchor the System correctly to a support (industrial floor or metallic structure) use at least 4 (four) holes placed at 90° on the base flange, Refer to the drawings Fig. 5 and Fig. 16, Fig 1S — Anchoring the System to a concrete floor —Page 27, REF. If necessary, loosen the Pixing clamp, or remove the bottom deck bolts if there are any and turn the deck until the correct location of the output aperture is obtained. General notices For any operations involving this System, suitable company safety equipment should be used. It is especially important t0 wear Accents (©) Healpbones Refer to national legislation regarding the use of personal safety equipment. 0 protect the hearin Not wearing the safety clothing indicated increases the probability of accidents, possibly serious. No special knowledge is required of the operator. Page 32.0 67 No accessory or piece of equipment should be mounted on the System different from those indicated in this manual. Failure to respect this entails the complete loss of the guarantee covering the entire System. 6.2. Principles of functioning The System is a three-cimensional vibrating sieve in which three dif controlled by & *VIBRO-ROTATING” system, oblained by means of the (lywheels and flags) fixed to the two ends of the motor sha. Control over the vibrations is obtained by unbalancing the hwo retainers in a suitable way. In particular, by ating on the upper weights, a variation in the horizontal movement of the product over the mesh is oblained, By varying the weight of the lower weights, @ vertical movement is placed over the horizontal one. For this reason, the time during which the material is kept on the mesh is contvolled by the lower weights, adcling or removing weights or changing their position. Fig, 20 illustrates this concept: the flow of the material over the surface of the mesh ean be seen, with an outwards movement (obtained by means of the upper retainer) and the rotation towards the exit (obtained by means of the lower retainer). rent moving layers are neing retainers Fig, 21 illustrates the trajectory of the particles, both vertically and hori Fig. 21 Trajectory of particles over the mesh ‘This motion, together with a spiral movement, is controlled by the lower balancing retainer. With appropriate use of the weights and with the tight adjustment of the retum, various levels of sieving are obtained, each of which is suited to the dimensions and shape of the particles. The separator can be used for a wide range of sieving requirements, of both dy and damp products, Fig, 22 shows some of the possible tracks taken by the particles on the surface of the mesh. In ‘general, Hig. 22.7 shows the movement obiained with the maximum unbalancing possible. (counter- weights on the axis). Mig. 224 shows the movement of particles with alnost no unbalancing (counter-weights at approximately 70°). The correct adjustment is made by trial and ervor, because it depends on variables which are difficult fo quantify in advance. Tig 2 ~ Track of pariices on mes ‘The operator must evacuate the correct regulation in accordance with production requirements. 6.3. Adjusting the System Before carrying out any operation on the separator, unplug the electricity supply and make the machine safe ‘Access to the upper weights is obtained by removing the deck group (see Paragraph 0). ‘Access to the lower weights is obtained by removing the door on the fixed base (see Paragraph 8.2.6) age 34 of 67 God, TUR ENTS 6.3.1, Adjustment of weights with ‘flag’ Fig. 23 shows the flags on which the counter-weights are placed Bi —Motor, Fg and connor welght group REF.
