Why homework should be banned

So many schools over the world are giving their student

homework because the think homework is one of the ways to test
student’s responsibility, but there are disadvantages of doing
homework. There are a lot of content that it is unnecessary and
really not useful to help student learn well . Some report said that
homework makes students unhappy and it wasted time. The
stressful puts students of learning. Homework is a waste of
student’s time to do other activities. Do you think you can enjoy
activities mostly with your loved one when they constantly have
homework assigned? Moreover, homework in some school is
about winning on test, not learning.

Firstly, I think that the banning of homework would help bring

balance back into the lives of students by allowing them to live
and enjoy their daily life. Having a social and family life is very
important to the development of a child. The main problem of this
is having excessive homework. Excessive homework can take
away family time and disrupt any routine or schedule that was
planned. I can’t count the number of shared evenings and dinners
missed out on homework and that I can never get back. Worst
still, can lead to children staying up overnight and completing
their homework which means they will turn up to school (the next
day) extremely tired and have no motivation for their education.
Secondly, forcing someone, especially children into doing
something they don’t want to do will not bring many good results.
in fact, stress caused by homework would make some kids
depressed. Now you might not know what I’m talking about but as
a young teenager that experienced depression , It shows that in
March 2020, 66% kids in then United Kingdom are stressed from
homework and exams. This is totally unexpectable! also, 70%
children are doing homework for subject’s they have no interest
taking in the future. Why waste time on a subject you don’t like?
Also, during my exam I was very depressed and worried and
teachers setting lots of homework made me feel very put down.

Surely every adult thinks that homework is extremely important

and that it is a must for all kids, due to the fact it keeps them out of
trouble and makes them focused. However, surveys show that
nearly 91% of children want to play sports after school. Why don’t
we let our children achieve and accomplish their dreams?
