Zeppelin Mini Installing and Upgrading

This is a step by step guide on how to upgrade and install the B&W Zeppelin Mini on Microsoft Windows 7.

1) The upgrade software should be obtained from our website (http://www.bowers-wilkins.co.uk/display.

aspx?infid=4361&terid=4547) and then installed onto your PC.

2) The B&W Zeppelin Mini Programmer software should then be run and the on screen instructions followed.

3) Once on the screen with the instructions on putting the B&W Zeppelin Mini into DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode,
after left-clicking next an error box will occur stating no device present.

4) To remedy this, first go to Start  Control Panel.

5) This will open the Control Panel window, now left-click ‘Hardware and Sound’ sub menu.

6) This will open the ‘Hardware and Sound’ window, now left-click ‘Device Manager’ sub menu.
7) This will then open the ‘Device Manager’ window, there should now be a device listed under ‘Other devices’ with a
yellow exclamation next to it.

8) Right-click the device with the yellow exclamation mark and then left-click ‘Update driver software.’
9) This will open the ‘Update driver software’ window, now left-click ‘Browse my computer for driver software’.

10) This will open the ‘Browse for folder’ window. Now search for and left click the appropriate folder that corresponds to
where the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Mini Programmer was installed. Now left-click ‘Ok’. The default install folder will
be:

C:\  Program Files  Bowers & Wilkins  Zeppelinmini Programmer

11) This will reopen the ‘Update driver software’ window, however it will now display the folder location selected. Now left-
click next.

12) A Windows security dialog box will appear asking whether or not you would like to install this device software, click
‘Install’.
13) Once completed a window will open stating that Windows has successfully updated the driver software.

14) Now go back to the B&W Zeppelin Mini upgrade software and repeat the processes. If previous steps have been pre
formed successfully then the updating software should perform completely.
15) To confirm that this has also successfully installed the B&W Zeppelin Mini as a speaker output device. Go to

Start  Control Panel  Hardware and Sound  Device Manager

Then select the ‘Sound, video and game controllers’ sub menu, ‘Zeppelinmini’ should now display here.
