As a first point for this case, I would like to answer these 2 questions
How can you make the meetings more productive and collaborative?
But, before I start answering these question, I would like to say that I agree with the
subtopic “What Expert says”, it is basically true that now days most of the companies
they communicate in different ways when we want to let that person know something
important, which is a conclusive proof that technology has changed so much, that we
depend too much on it, my point is that now days if we want to let someone now
something really we required to different tools like an email, text messages among
others, doesn’t matter if we have that person in front of us or next to, we are losing that
sense of communication with the employees which is very important. Most of the
companies when there is a meeting, they opt for let his employees be informed via
email which is not bad, but according to the experts, there is nothing better to have a
communication face to face, there is nothing better to have a meeting with the
employees face to face.
How can you make the meetings more productive and collaborative?
If we are a manager and we decide to make a meeting for discuss about productivity if
you planned that meeting without been prepare, they we as a manager should not do
that. We must have some points to talk about which means be prepared.
A more realistic goal may be to jot down a list of bullet points that you’d like to
discuss. Ask your direct report to do the same.
Once you’re face-to-face, compared lists and doing some “loose timeboxing” to
make sure you have time to cover the most pressing points.
“You need to set expectations around what’s most important and create an
incentive to focus”
“If the conversation diverges, it’s your responsibility to get it back on track.”
it’s also important to be flexible, says Moore. In other words, you need some
structure but not too much.
