To whom it may concern,

My name is Justin Albro and I am a Physical Education teacher at Groton Central School
District, and I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Alyssa Manthos. I have had
the privilege to host Alyssa for 14 weeks during her time student teaching. From day one,
Alyssa was ready to take over our classes and not look back. She was able to control the room,
give great instructions, and make incredible connections with the students. She has
demonstrated great command of the class while still portraying a positive attitude during any
activity being done. I was very impressed with how quickly she was able to pick up teaching the
students and how quickly the students took to her as their teacher.

During her time student teaching, Alyssa had a wide variety of classes ranging from 6th
grade all the way up through seniors. In these classes, we had many activities with a wide
variety of skills. Alyssa taught units on badminton, weight room, handball, and other activities.
For each activity, Alyssa always had a fantastic lesson planned out and gave great feedback
during the classes. She was well prepared and the students learned a lot from her during the 14
weeks.

Along with student teaching, Alyssa assisted me during our basketball season and was a
fantastic asset to me as an assistant coach. She came in with little knowledge of the game, but
took every opportunity to learn and expand her abilities. She was there to assist the players,
provide feedback, and even helped keep the statistics during the games.

In my opinion, Alyssa is ready to lead her own classes and will be a perfect fit for any
district looking to hire her. She is punctual, respectful, a strong leader, and balances her work
very well. I have no doubt that she will improve your building and district if hired. Alyssa is one
of the most organized student teachers I have had. And while listening to the college
administrators that would come in and talk while observing her, they would strongly agree;
especially because Alyssa was often used as a reference in her classes for her peers.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me via phone or email.

Thank you,

Justin Albro
